Sunny weather warmed 37 D12 laser sailors this weekend at Lake Norman Yacht Club. 4 races were completed in light air racing for the 1st of the District’s Championship Series. Returning to his home waters, Glenn Walker took first place overall. Glenn also shared some of his inside information at a friday night clinic for the early arrivals - will try to make this a regular occurence for the Friday night before our major regattas. Many thanks to Mark and Peggy Aspland for putting on another great event. Many thanks to Ken Gorni and the rest of the LNYC RC for providing fair sailing in difficult wind conditions. Check the 2007 series results for the final results of the regatta or check the full results. Some pictures. Here is Glenn’s regatta report as well.
