Big waves and big breeze at the Laser Worlds and there is Typhoon on the way.
D12 sailors were busy again this past weekend.
Seven of our juniors sailed in the SAISA (South Atlanitic Interscholastic Sailing Association) Championship and Cressy Qualifier (the Cressy is the National High School Singlehanded Champs). John Mellnik and Joe Aspland in full rigs ; Krysta Rohde, Emilie Mademann, Ryland Martin, Wiley Marshall and Devon Rohde in radials. Krysta took a third in the radials and qualified for the Cressy finals in Connecticut in October. Full results, Radial results, and pictures.
Nine D12 sailors made it to the Chesapeake Bay Laser Masters Championships September 9,10 at Fishing Bay. Will see if we can get a regatta report posted - particularly the dinner report. Check out the results here.
Next up is Board Bash at Lake Norman September 23 and 24 - Board Bash NOR
Sounds like we may get a lot of boats in Beaufort October 21 and 22 for the final event of our Championship Series. Just so a lot of you don’t end up in the wrong state ; this event is in Beaufort , South Carolina not North Carolina. The NOR and other information are located here. Online registration is open.
You can tune up the weekend before the final event of the series at either the Georgia States at Lake Lanier or the Haloween Regatta in Augusta.
